A man is expected to live a better life the moment a good
woman enters his life
The word of God says, ‘’whoso findeth a wife findeth a good
thing and obtaineth favour of the lord (prov. 18:22)
The bible also records that Isaac was comforted the moment Rebecca
came into his life. ‘’then Isaac brought her into his mother’s tent. Rebecca
became Isaac’s wife that day. Isaac loved her very much. So Isaac was comforted
after his mother’s death’’ (gen. 24:67). Rebecca came at the time Isaac was
lonely and in sorrow and needed someone to comfort him because of the death of
his mother. Her coming brought joy and comfort. A glorious wife is a door
through which favour and comfort enters the house.
A GLORIOUS WIFE AS A LIFTER
God gave a woman to a man as a gift that will give his life
a lift. Every good woman is a lifter. Many men have been lifted from grass to
grace the moment the right woman entered their lives. Many ministers have
succeeded in the ministry through prayers, support and encouragement from their
wives. Many men have really benefitted from the counsels of their wives. Dear glorious
wife, you are not only a channel of comfort and strength; you are also a lifter
to your husband and children.
A woman who loves cares and prays for her husband and
children is gate of protection for them. If is recorded proverbs. 31:23 that
the husbands of such glorious wives are known at the gates among their mate. Why?
Because of their wives’ care on them before they leave the house. They look
neat and happy. Men with such wives do not keep late nights, their hearts are
always at home, they find it difficult to eat outside the home, and they do not
succumb to the temptation of husband snatchers.
