BEDROOM NEGOTIATION EPISODE 3

He smiled and held my elbow, asking me

to stand up. His dark brown eyes jailed me in his

world. He looks so ruthless and evil. I hate him

.but he is my only hope.

He touched my cheek as his other hand

went to my lower back, pulling my body closer

to him. He brushed his lips against mine once

with a Swift and feather-like kiss. "Maybe we can

talk better when we're already naked in our

hotel room," he whispered before kissing me

relentlessly.

f**k, he mumbled as he broke our kiss.

We were already kissing for so long that it actually

ended up in a make-out session. The Great Porter Dunn is

sitting on the chair while l am straddling him with my

hands wrapped around his neck. His hands are all over

my back and l can feel a huge bulge underneath.

Gosh, is he huge now?

His browneyes found mine with an intense stare. "

We should eat first," he said in a caim voice

bit my lip and nodded. I moved to stand up but he

held my waist. I  looked at him, confused. What does he

want to do now?

I  thought we re going to eat?" I  asked

innocently

He bit his lower lip while still looking at me with his

serious eyes He held my cheek and pulled me closer to

his face. "On second thought, maybe we can spare ten

minutes to make out," he said in a low voice before

connecting our lips once more.

l immediately closed my eyes as I  felt his lips savor

and explore mine like it is his own territary. We have been

kissing for minutes but l am still wondering how he could

kiss this good, His mouth seemed to have its own magie

that it makes my whole body surender

I could feel him smiling when he noticed that I am

already responding to his kisses. My fingers combed his

hair as he showered me with hot and dee kisses

This is hard. It is so hard to resist him no matter how

many times I remind myself of why l am here with him. I

am here to save our business. And thats the onlly reason

why l am doing this.

But since, this is already inevitable, might as well

just enjoy the whole ride, right?

His hand went up and down against my back as I felt

myself moving into a grinding motion against his hard

bulge. He moaned as my center brushed his

hardness.

His kisses went to my cheek and then down to jaw,

slightly biting me and licking me all at the same time.I

tipped my head to the side to give him more access on

my neck

"Hmmm,"I breathed as I felt him sucking a spot on

my neck.

My hands fisted on his hair as he continued to suck

me hard on the space between my collarbone and my

neck

He grunted as his kisses went down to my chest, to

my cleavage. He cupped my breast as he continued to

trail kisses on my chest. "God, he whispered as he

looked up and crashed his lips onto mine again.

Well, god, I must really be crazy. I must really have

gone crazy

We spent another couple of minutes making out in

front of the empty dinner table until we both decided to

really eat. Yes, and I have a lot of questions to him

regarding our contract too.

"Are you currently studying?" he asked as he sliced

his medium rare steak.

I nodded shyly. f"k, now that we're not kissing

toridly, I am getting shy on him? I must really be crazy."

I'm supposed to be on my last year this year. Fine

Arts"

He raised his brow. He must not have pegged me to

be an artsy person just like everyone in the university.

They only look at me as the only daughter of the owner

of the Grazen Airlines

Most of my professors were really curious as to why

took up Fine Arts instead of aviation or business. As

expected, they all think that an heiress of a huge airline

company must be studying on how to manage business,

not paint some silly abstract stuf

B-but l am planning on taking up some classes in

business so I could help in running our company,

I   added.

Mr. Dun nodded. "You are the director of your

airlines, right?

I nodded.

"But you don't know how to run it..." he said.

I looked at him. He's staring at me with his usual

intense stare. Nervousness crept in me as I swallowed."

that's why l am giving you the position of the CEO

"You have cousins, right? Why haven't you thought

of giving them that position?"

I pursed my lips in a thin line. He's right. "My cousins

are already bosses on their own companies-

I  am a boss of my own company, too, Graziella," he

interrupted.

My lips parted. Of course!

"So, why me ?" he probed.

Because you hold most of the stocks in the

company, next to ours,"I explained.

He c-d his head to the side, thought about for a

moment before nodding. "Good point," he said. "So,

when are you going to introduce me as the CEO?" he

asked

I narrowed my eyes on the glass of wine in front of

me. I haven 't thought about that but I can ask Ingrid, my

secretary-formerly, Dad's, to arrange a press conference

for him.

When do you want?"l asked.

He sat back and I cannot believe how I am so

stunned at his handsome and ruthless face. "I will be out

for a week. I'll be flying to France."

He's going out of the country? Good. I needed time

to think as well.

"You can introduce me when I come back," he told

me.

I nodded. "I will ask my secretary to arrange a press

conference for your appointment."

He looked at me, amused. "Good, was all he

replied.

We continued to eat as my mind was filled with

thoughts about the contract he just showed me. I wanted

to ask questions but my tongue seemed to have not

been active.

"While I am away," Porter Dunn started. "I would

want you to consult an OB for the birth control method

that's perfect for you

My eyes widened at how he could utter that without

any hint of embarrassment. Birth control..he wants

me to use contraceptives.

The sides of his lips rose. "You should know that I

don't really like withdrawing and coming over anywhere

else other than inside you.

My whole body seemed to have stiffened with what

he just said. It shook my virgin mind. And I don't even

know what I am going to feel about it. So that is why he

said he might or might not wear any condom during our

sessions.

He chuckled lowly. "Don't worry, after tonight, you

won't ever feel shy speaking to me with matters

regarding to sex."

My knees trembled. He must have a wide experience

with this because he is talking to me like he lives with s'x.

Well, I won't be surprised if he's got a long list of women

who would want to share a bed with him in an intense

and intimate night.

Who could say no to that face?

"About the hook up place..." I stuttered.

l'm going to give you the keys when I get back from

Paris," he answered even without me completing my

sentence.

I nodded.

When was your last s'x?" he asked so casually

My eyes widened. f""k. Is this how my mission will

end? If I told him I am a virgin, there is a huge chance that

he would back out of this. But...if I don't tell him now,

he would realize it when we're doing it. And that would

be worse because I lied to him.

I fiddled with my fingers. "I'm..."f**k! "...a virgin"|

said in almost a whisper.

"What?" he asked in an alarmed state. "You're a

virgin?" he asked in disbelief.

l bit my lip and nodded. I prepared myself for his

outburst. He would back out for sure. I would lose our

airlines.I would lose everything my parents worked hard

for.

"fkl" he cursed loudly as I heard his chair

moving

couldn't make myself look at him because l am

scared that he would back out now. I am not prepared to

face that my parents' company isn't going to be ours

now

l am already constructing words inside my head

when I felt a hand hold mine. I looked up and saw Porter

Dunn in front of me, squatting while caressing my hands

softly.

His eyes are so softer than usual. It's as if he's trying to

be gentle to me now that he learned that l am

Virgin.

"Let's go to our room," he said.

"Are you backing out?" I asked.

He furrowed his brows at me. "Why would I back

out?" he asked back.

I frowned at him. "Because I am a virgin...I won't be

able to satisfy you in bed..."

He stared at me, lips parted for a moment. "We can

rectify this situation,," he said as he stood up and took my

hand in his.

We both walked out of the VIP room towards the

hotel's main elevator. I don't know what will happen to

the room that we let behind. We've only been halfway

through our meal

Mr. Dunn laced his fingers with mine. I looked

around to see if there are people watching. Good thing.

we seem to be the only ones in here. We rode the elevator

in silence. He's still holding my hand like his dear life

clings to it

He was silent and I was starting to become nervous

and scared. I know how imposing and authoritative he

could be but his aura right now is different. I don't know

but I feel like he's more intimidating now that he's this

close to me.

I gave him a quick glance and saw him in deep

thoughts. His brows are furrowed and his lips in a grim

line. I swallowed and looked away. My heart is beating

fast as his serious face flashed back in my mind.

I've read a lot of articles about Porter Alejandro

Dunn. He's known as the bad boy in the business world

but he was never pegged as a playboy. I wonder how. All

of the articles say that he's never been in a relationship

well, not that those writers know of

But it does not mearn that he is the person those

aticies are dlaitting him to be. He kisses so good and

he's bliatantty just speaking s'x like it is a casual thing to

talk about He seemed so veteran on this.

Or may be no  one knows about this side of his

because he makes sure that every single girl he f***s have

signed his nondisclosure agreement.

So that's why he's made sure that we don't talk

about our intimate sessions in public

Smart guy

My thoughts were stopped when the lift opened. Mr.

Dunn walled out, tugging me from behind. He's walking

straight ahead like he knows where the room is.

looked around the empty and quiet corridors until

we stopped. 6509 is the room number. Porter Dunn let go

of my hand to get something inside his suit pocket. He

took a keycard and opened the room

l bit my lip as a strong surge of anxiety attacked my

veins. I looked around the room the moment I entered.

Mr.Dunn remained standing, holding the door for

me

It was not simple. There is a living room, a dining

table for four, a kitchen and one bedroom. I don't see the

toilet from where I am standing right now but I guess it is

inside the bedroom.

l almost junmped when l heard the door closing from

behind me. I heard the locks that made my mind go

chaotic. Now, it has finally sunk in me. Porter Dunn's way

of rectifying the situation is definitely me losing my

virginity tonight. But that's what really is going to

happen. So I don't see the difference.

"Take off your blazer," he whispered as I felt his

presence behind me. His breath fanned the back of my

neck that did not fail to send shivers down my

spine.

gulped and bit my lip as I slowly took my blazer off.

f*k it  Graziella! Where is your confidence now, huh? Two

can play this game? Really?

I felt like a tiny kitten at the mercy of a fierce and

dangerous tiger I can't do anything but to oblige. I don't

have anything to do but oblige.

As my blazer fell on the floor, I felt Porter Dunn's

hands around my waist. He's caressing me and it doesn't

make all these emotional turmoil inside me better

"Tonight is the only night I will be this gentle to you,

"he whispered making all the hair around my neck stand

up.

Hell, what does that mean?

He planted feather-like kisses on my shoulder as his

hand rested on my stomach. I tipped my head to the side

as he showered me with wet kisses around my neck.

My breathing hitched as his touch went to my arm,

caressing me slowly and gently while his kisses made

their way to my jaw...then to my ear.

"Baby, I can't wait to bed you..." he uttered as his

hands removed the straps of my dress, pulling them

down to expose my bare chest. "f**k, you're not wearing

bra he asked as he immediately cupped my breasts,

twisting and massaging them

My dress has parking so I  don't need to wear bra,l

wanted to tell him that but my mind just couldn't think

straight right now

He twirled his fingers on my n*****s, making me

moan in pleasure

"You like that?" he asked in his husky and seductive

vOice

"Hmmm.I hummed.

He chuckled lowly as he pushed my dress lower until

it dropped on the floor leaving me alone in my panties."

Hmmm, I thought you went commando, Graziella."

fk.Why would I go commando on him? That

hasn't even crossed my mind-s"t!

Baby, you're wet now?" he asked as he rubbed the

center of my panties. "Did you miss my mouth?"

I let out a deep breath as I felt him inserting his

fingers inside my laced underwear. I gasped when I felt

him rubbing my clit as a million volts of energy seemed

to heve erntered my veins.  I held onto him because l am

losing the feet of my knees with everything that he is

doing to me

" he cursed as he tumed me around and

cashed his lips on mine-kissing me deeply and eagerly

while his hand stayed on my swollen bud.

tongue enter inside my

He bit my lower lip to let his tongue enter inside my

mouth. l gasped and moaned through the kiss because

his fingers picked up their pace

"Oh, god"i moaned as Mr. Dunn removed my

panties, He spread my legs and kneeled in between

them

My eyes widened when I saw what he is doing.

What-ah l couldn't continue what I am going to say

because he is already down there, kissing my bud so

fervently,

Every flick of his tongue made my knees weaker and

weaker leaving me with no choice but I hold on to his

head so I wouldn't fall hard.

His eyes watched me as he sucked my clit. He held

my thighs in place as he licked my slick folds without

stop.

"Oh, god! Mr. Dunn!"I moaned out loud as I felt

something building in my stomach. "Holy--"

let out a breath of relief as I came on his mouth for

the second tieme today Mc Dunm steed up and started to

remove his clothes I watched him as he swittly

unbuttoned his shirt revealing his toned and fpped

torso

God, I knew he was masculine but I never

thought-

Mr. Dunn kissed me and pulled me towards his body.

My body seemed to have heated up with the mere

contact of our naked upper torsos. He cupped my breast

as his tongue traced my mouth expertly. He kissed my

jaw briefly before engulifing one n"e

"Oh..."I moaned as he sucked my m"e like a

hungry baby. He twirled his tongue around it like it's his

favorite candy.

My hands went to his belt and tried to unbuckle it

He stopped what he's doing and looked at me for a few

seconds with eyes filled with unadulterated lust before

helping me remove his pants with his boxers.

My eyes went wide when I saw his huge length, erect

and proud.

You can't back out now," he told me. He must have

seen the shock etched in my face as I saw his whole

length.

"But...it's...you're..I can't even complete my

sentence.

He chuckled and carried me bridal style. "It will fit

you, baby. I 'll try to be gentle..

Try? Damn!

"Mr. Dunn-"

"Porter," he said. "Call me Porter, Graziella..

I  bit my lip as he laid me on top of the bed. He

spread my legs wide and settled in between. I can feel his

length grazing against my heated folds. Suddenly, the

fear l was feeling was replaced with pleasure and

excitement.

"I'm going to inch in now..." he said as he

positioned his tip on my wet entrance. "This is going to

hurt but I'm going to make you feel better later.."

I nodded as I looked into his eyes. He seemed

promising as he uttered those words and l cannot do

anything but trust him.

And boy, he wasn't lying when he said it was going

to hurt. I felt like I was being cut into two as he pushed

his length into my entrance. I whimpered in pain as l felt

him filling me in.

"f"k  You're so tight," he said as he pulled out. I

breathed in relief only for him to enter me once again.

This time he penetrated deeper but I knew it wasn't his

whole length.

He pulled out once again, only to enter once again

until his whole shaft was inside me. He repeated pulling

out and pushing in for a few moments until the pain I

was feeling was replaced with pleasure.

"Don't stop,"I moaned as he started to pick up his

pace.

"s"t," he muttered as he thrusted in and out of me

deeper and deeper with greater intensity as he increased

his pace.

He anchored the back of my knees around his arm,

stretching me even more, to make me feel him deeper

inside.

He groaned as he started slamming in and out of me

hardly. The room was filled with our moans and grunts

and the sound of the bed squeaking as it met the head

board slammed against the wall with every thrust.

"Oh god" moaned as l could feel a familiar

sensation building in my stomach.

Mr. Dunn's face was red as he kept pushing and

pulling in and out of me. The veins in his arms and neck

corded before we came on our earth-shattering release

together.

What Is The Cost of preparing for a wedding?

You know it quite interesting in this part of the world (Nigeria) where you see graduate of many professional field of study venturing into skills and entrepreneurship and it has really paved ways for them even Moore than a white cola job would have done.....But even with this we have seen of cases about Graduate parading about claiming they can't venture into somethings because they are graduate and only white cola job will do, Yet nothing to show forth.

This is a case study of an interview with the CEO of SHAMOL EXPERIENCE! Read through and enjoy!

How much does a wedding in Eastern Nigeria cost? Your guess is as good as ours, and that’s why we reached out to Sharon Maduekwe, CEO of Shamol Experience, spoke to us about starting her wedding planning business in Eastern Nigeria, the challenges she has encountered so far and her early moves to be an entrepreneur.

You run quite a thriving business. Was this always a thing you wanted to do as a kid?

Yes. I’ve always been very business-minded. I didn’t want to go to school; I just wanted to own a business.

Ha. What did your folks say about that kind of talk?

LOL. My father promised that I could run a business after I finished school. I guess that’s the only reason I went. At the time, I thought I was going to end up as a fashion designer.

What happened to that plan?

I don’t know o. I went to fashion school and realised that I would rather have people make the dresses. And maybe be the stylist.

So what did you study besides fashion?

I went to two universities and studied two courses. Psychology at Unizik and Mass Communication at Tansian University. I thought Psychology would help me understand clients, and Mass Communication would help me with advertising and PR.

Those seem like very adult thoughts to have!

I had many adults around me, so maybe my mind worked a bit faster than my age. But Mass Communication was what I wanted to study. My school gave me Psychology, which I fell in love with. Then I figured it would help me in business eventually.

Since you had been dreaming about business for a while, did you do anything besides study in school?

Yes. I was MCing and I worked with an agency that did events. We provided ushers for the Anambra State Government when I was in school and other projects. I started ushering when I was a teen — I told my folks I wanted to do something in school and they approved. I worked with an agency doing events for some time and then I became a sorta manager-intern for them for free. They handled events for Glo and Nigerian Breweries.

While you were a student?

Yes. They would call me and ask if I wanted to join them. I’d do that for three days and then return to school.

This your hustling sha!

LOL. My parents never knew I was going to Lagos for events!

I will send your mum a copy of this interview…

LOL. She knows now. In school, they called me Miss Tourism because of how much I travelled.

I stopped working with the agency in my final year. I didn’t want to be idle so I asked some of my friends about what I could do. They said that since I was very detailed and helped people plan things, I could consider catering. But one of them, a very popular makeup artist in Abuja, said events planning. I left the agency and went to an events planning school and interned with an event planning company in Abuja.

Whoa. At what stage did you start your own thing?

2017. But I didn’t get any clients until 2018.

How come? You knew everybody already.

Yes, I knew a lot of people in other states. But when I started my business, I was very sure I wanted to be based in the east.

This was a strategic decision. Yes?

Yes. I schooled in the east and realised that Igbo people have lots of events. And they spend money!

LOL.

And I love culture. The food, the music. I knew that if there was a way I could work and enjoy some of our culture, then I would have to set up in the east. People from here may have their white weddings in Abuja or Lagos but they always have their traditional wedding back home. It would have been a lot easier to get clients in Abuja. But when I got my first job, that was it for my business.

How so?

I blew up! The first event was for a very popular person in the east. I planned their wedding. I got many jobs from that wedding, including four this year.

And this was when?

April 2018.

And three years later, it is still bringing clients your way?

Yes. I have gotten jobs every year from that job.

Cut soap for me!

People that attended the wedding probably said, “Oh my God, this is my planner!” So when it is time to plan their wedding, they contact us.

Applause.

Hahaha.

What other businesses have you tried your hands at?

As I said, I went to fashion school. I started a clothing line but it didn’t work out. But the name survived and is the name of my current business.

So, around the same time you were a student, you had a clothing line and you were in events planning school?

Yes.

One human being?

LOL. But you know one had to suffer.

What suffered?

School, of course.

But you graduated still.

Yes. With a good result, too.

Overall genius! What happened when you got out?

I concentrated on event planning and focused on weddings.

What have been the challenges?

At first, it was quite challenging dealing with vendors. The work ethic is different from what you get in Lagos and Abuja. Sometimes I would compare them aloud and this caused some problems.

I can imagine.

They would get offended. “Oh, you can’t talk to us like that,” they’d say. I feel the events I have in Lagos are so easy because the vendors already know what to do. There is also an issue with standards; it is not the same in the east. Then, charges. I can charge a figure in Lagos and my clients wouldn’t think twice.

In the east, it’s different, even if about 90% of my clients are outside Nigeria. They would say, “Why are you charging this much—are you not based in the east?” They feel that because you are in the east you should be cheaper. It took us a while to explain that it doesn’t mean we are giving “eastern quality.” Which is also a problem because what do you mean by “eastern quality”?

Wahala.

LOL. Yes. It was a problem. I had to learn how to manage my words. It was quite an issue at the beginning. We also had an issue with locations. In Lagos, I can do five events in a day and all of them will be close. Lekki, Ikate, Ajah, maybe even Mainland. In the east, I might have an event in Enugu and another in Anambra. That is an hour and thirty minutes on the road. Anambra to Imo is about three hours. These states are so different. I have learned how to deal with them.

How do you deal with the distance?

We are bigger. If we have three events in a day, we have three teams. It wasn’t always like that. Last December, we had 30 weddings. And I couldn’t be there for all of them. But we have good hands now.

Wait. Did you say 20 weddings?

No. 30 weddings.

In December. Why is everybody getting married?

LOL. I don’t know o. But that’s the thing about Igbos. They must do traditional weddings in the east. They can do the white one elsewhere, but the traditional must be in the east.

In other words, your decision to be based in the east was a brilliant one. You are my hero!

[Laughs]

If I wanted a wedding in the east, what would you be charging me?

Depends.

Think of it as a basic wedding. What is the basic Shamol Experience charge?

Let’s say ₦500,000.

What would you be doing for me?

That’s my service charge. You then have to tell me your budget.

I’m scared already.

Our least budget is between ₦3,000,000 and ₦4,000,000.

Ha!

And that is based on your guests. You cannot be expecting 1,000 guests and telling me your budget is three million.

Abeg, no vex. I’m not marrying soon.

LOL. Okay. It depends on your number of guests and the location.

Does location matter in the east, though?

No, it doesn’t. That reminds me: last December, we went to all the states in the east. Except for Ebonyi.

So for my ₦4,000,000 what number of guests can I get away with?

100! And it will just be classy. No extra stuff.

Let’s go to the upper limit. What about 1,000 guests?

I can give you a real example. Last December, we had an event that 1,500 people attended. We spent around ₦15,000,000.

What does this involve?

Videography. Photography. Food. Décor. Drinks. The client is coming to their wedding as a guest.

What’s the process like?

When you come to us, we pick your vendors. You can tell us if you have specific vendors you want to use. We send you a quote with prices for each vendor. We help pay the vendors and create a payment sheet showing who gets what and when. For décor, we have a team that designs mood boards. It’s tailormade. We also pay rainmakers depending on the season.

Interesting. How did you learn this? It’s quite elaborate.

I learned most of it from personal experience and the company I worked with earlier. To be honest, I don’t think I can function in any non-event business.

Which vendor takes the most money?

It’s usually between the décor, food or drinks vendor. We have clients that say their friends don’t drink anything younger than 25 years or anything but a specific champagne. Drinks can be quite tricky. There is one client that is spending about N500,000 on a mobile bar alone. His guests are only 500 but the budget is about ₦12,000,000.

Wow. Are you building everything from scratch?

LOL. Something like that. We are building cabanas.

To think that I was joking! So what is your service charge in this 1,000 guests (or more) case?

[Laughs] Let’s just say ₦1,000,000 or above.

I am coming to work for you!

LOL

Speaking of, a lot of business people complain about staff. What’s your experience?

My staff are wonderful. I have been quite lucky and I pray a lot before I employ anyone. Most of my team have been with me from the start. I have heard people complain about staff. But I don’t have that experience.

Maybe you are just a better boss?

LOL. Maybe. But yes, my staff feels like my am a better boss! maybe I'm or maybe they are just the best staff!!! Yes they re.

you see when working with people you don't always have to act bossy or show that you are the boss! they already know. All you need do is relate with each and every one of them like you're all colleagues and you will see things falling in pleasant places for you.

My father forcefully slept with me

while my mother supported him -Lady shares heartbreaking story It is no longer news that we are in the last days which some prophets in scripture talked about. Where fathers will be sleeping with their daughters, sons sleeping with their mothers and brothers and sisters sleeping with themselves and men will be lovers of themselves. so many heart breaking things are happening

around the world as this is a case of miss Lucy who was r*ped by her father! A woman identified as Lucy Wanjiru has narrated how her father forcefully raped her while her mother supported him. Sharing her story, she revealed how her parents separated and she was forced to move out with their mom who met another man and got married. From her claims, her step father mistreated her and her siblings and they had no other choice but to tolerate. She said that this was the beginning of her life being destroyed. Lucy said one day, her father sneaked into her room where he forcefully slept with her and he threatened to kill her if she dared to share it with anyone. According to her, she did not disclose this to anyone as she was frightened of the repercussions and her step father continuously r*ped her. Lucy narrated further that she finally opened up to her mom but her mom accused her of lying and added that: “She wanted to destroy her marriage”. In her claims, her mom supported her dad and despite her mom trying to protect her family, they separated with their dad and were chased away. Lucy’s sad experiences didn’t stop there as she

revealed further that she was again r*ped by an unknown man where she got pregnant. She added that she needs deliverance because, in her words: “All the men she gets married to run away whenever she shares her story”. Lucy's experience is just one out of many in this country and the world at large....and if serious majors are not taken, I feel things might get out of hands!! Lucy thinks she needs deliverance! But the question is, does she really needs it? or we need more decent men in our society? I think we need Moore decent and recommendable men in our society at large! drop your opinions on what you think concerning Lucy's case! let chat at the comment sessions.

Institutionalising a tax payment culture within the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, explained that the National Tax Policy document was reviewed with the aim of institutionalising a tax payment culture within the Nigerian workforce.

He gave the explanation at the State House, Abuja, during an audience with the leadership of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).

Buhari, who assured that the Federal Government will continue to sensitise and encourage Nigerians to cultivate the culture of paying taxes by ensuring fair implementation policy and effective utilisation of resources, added that the progress made in diversifying the economy, providing social security and securing the country can be further improved with enhanced and expanded revenue base.

“We have made some progress in the past four years. However, a lot more can still be done. A key step is to enhance and expand government’s revenue base. Today, we still rely on oil as our main source of income. This simply i s not enough to meet our infrastructure, social services and security needs,” he said.

Describing Nigerians as hardworking and entrepreneurial, the President said a deeper understanding of the effectiveness of tax on the economy by the populace and fair administration will help in improving government’s revenue shortfalls. In his remarks, the President of CITN, Chief Cyril Ikemefuna Ede, congratulated the President for winning his second term in office, assuring him of the institute’s support for a successful tenure, especially in the area of using tax to improve government’s revenue. “Your victory is a clear sign of belief, trust and confidence that Nigerians have in you,’’ Ede said.

He said some higher institutions in the country have started offering taxation as a course, hoping it will also be taught in secondary schools. He said nations can only achieve development with mobilisation of resources through taxation. The President of CITN said political leaders must set a good example for compliance on tax payment by ensuring that presentation of tax certificates remain one of the central requirements for those who want to contest elective positions.

President MUHAMADU BUHARI WON THE ELECTION

All three governors are contesting for Senatorial seats on the party's platform while also sabotaging it in very clear terms in the governorship category.
To a certain degree, Buhari's campaign rally in Imo State two weeks ago prepared the ground for the tragedy in Ogun State as the crowd also turned against the APC leadership and the party's governorship candidate.
The dreadful manner in which all the major actors in the party have managed the conflicts bedeviling it since last year has left a very sour taste in the mouth and continues to cast a huge shadow over the strength of internal politics in the country.
These governors have, to varying degrees, engaged in bold-faced anti-party activities that should have gotten them expelled with very little thought put into the decision to do so because they've made it so easy.
However, governors are important to winning elections in the country and one suspects the party is only hanging on to them, with their attendant shenanigans, simply because of the electoral value they bring to the table.
This might explain why President Buhari met with Amosun and Akinlade at the Presidential Villa last month because the APM endorsed him for the presidential election.
President Muhammadu Buhari has been consumed by his own re-election ambition that he thought it was a good idea to host an opposition governorship candidate, Akinlade (left), in the Presidential Villa while the Ogun State chapter of the APC was torn down the middle [Twitter/@BashirAhmaad]
The presidency was forced to issue a statement announcing that the president will support all APC candidates while also welcoming endorsements from others.
However, it should have been clear to the president and his handlers that meeting Akinlade was sending mixed signals and should have been avoided if smart heads prevailed in the room where that decision was made.
President Buhari has failed to show firm leadership to rein in the excesses of Amosun and Okorocha. Both governors were cunning enough to promise the president that despite the division in their states, he'll still get maximum support, even from the opposition parties where their stooges have fled to upset the party's candidates in both states.
And the president, in his quest to not rock the boat as he faces a tight re-election challenge, has accommodated the whims of the governors to serve his own interest over that of the party. This is why he would go to Imo and Ogun and ask party members to vote for anyone of their choice when his mantra at other rallies is "vote APC from top to bottom".
The president's unsteady leadership has left party leaders like Oshiomhole and national leader, Bola Tinubu, hanging out to dry as they've felt the brunt of the renegade governors and made a bad situation really toxic for the party and for the nation's politics.
There's no doubt that the show of shame at the Ogun State rally on Monday was the culmination of terrible decisions that the APC has made in regards to the protracted conflict, a situation that should have never been allowed room to fester.
When all is said and done, the specter of electoral violence has loomed large over Ogun due mostly to Amosun who's played the divide and conquer tactic to the detriment of the party's image.
If the president and his men are not spared a fallout of that terrible situation, then the country is in big trouble. Let good leadership prevail, gentlemen.

This is an APC rally. I belong to APC and I'll vote APC, and I expect that for all of us who are here,

"we vote for the APC from beginning to the end," he said but was drowned out by chants of "APM!" from the crowd.
Former Osun State governor, Rauf Aregbesola, was the next to fall as he came on stage to beg the crowd, like a bunch of obstinate children, to toe the party line and only vote for its candidates.
The biggest jeers of the day were reserved for Oshiomhole who came on the stage to chants of "Ole! Ole! (Yoruba for 'thief')", a situation that only worsened when he mentioned Abiodun's name as the party's choice.                       click
APC national chairman, AdamsOshiomhole, was jeered by the party's hostile crowd at the Ogun State rally
He was soon swarmed by security operatives after a projectile was launched at the stage and his speech had to be brought to an abrupt end.
To save face, Amosun, the resident master puppeteer and Architect-in-Chief, made a return to the stage to appeal to the crowd to behave itself, like little children on a short leash, in the presence of the president.
"I beg you in the name of God. Please, our father (Buhari) is here, please don't disgrace me here," he told the unruly crowd.
When Buhari eventually made his way to the stage, he was more cautious about the big elephant in the room and, rather spinelessly, told the crowd to vote for whomever it chooses for the elections.
"I appeal to you to practice your civil rights to come out next Saturday and on the 2nd of March and choose whoever you like across the parties. This is your right and I have no problem about it," he said as the crowd cheered his tacit approval.
However, the president's next action, an unavoidable campaign rally ritual, was to raise Abiodun's hand as endorsement of his candidacy as the party's flag bearer.
President Muhammadu Buhari (right) raises the hand of Dapo Abiodun (centre) please connect with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (left) looking on. Chaos ensued shortly after [Twitter/@raufaregbesola]
The rest, as they say, is history. The crowd goes wild. A bottle, and then more, is launched in the direction of the stage where the president is standing with Abiodun. Security agents swarm the president to save the country a very sorry sight and the rally comes to an end.
It'll surely go down as one of the biggest moments of shame in Nigeria's political history, and there's such a rich pool to pick from. That the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was in danger of being stoned at a rally filled with 'supporters' of his own party is an incredible eyesore.
