This is really annoying,
uncalled for, mysterious as a middle age girl of 16 years got married to a 56
years old man, who is old enough to be her father, all because of poverty and
no provision.
IT was said that this
very girl of 16 years old whose name is kasarachi uzondu from the family of
late Mr. And Mrs. Uzondu okere from ngokpala L.G.A in IMO state was interviewed
during their marriage preparation.
They asked her if she is
really aware of what she is in-baking into. She answered them yes as she was crying
inside her but people didn’t notice it because she is pretending to be okay
with it, but the parents new that she is only pretending. The family forced her
to do so because they have no money.
Kasarachi uzondu happens
to come from a very poor and retched family were they cannot even eat two good
times in a day. mr. Uzondu and the family has been suffering poverty for so
many years and nobody ever cared to assist or even help the family all this
while, since the family has no body to help them out of poverty they decided to
accept a suitor for their daughter who is just 16 years old.
According to report the
girl refused her parents idea, by telling them that she doesn’t want any suitor
that she is still tender to go into marriage. But the parents convinced her by
giving her instances like, if she refuses the suitor no education, feeding and
many more for her up keep. After that she has no choice than to accept Mr.
Clement ozo, they did their traditional wedding and she followed him to his
house.
Letter on she divorced
and left the old man, the question here is,
1: if you happen to be
the man what will you do?
2: did she do the right
thing?
